The most famous bag in the world might need a new name because after 31 years, Hermes and Jane Birkin’s relationship just got complicated. The namesake of the Birkin Bag wants nothing to do with the iconic luxury handbag that sells for an average of around forty grand. After seeing PETA's shocking expose on alligator and crocodile farming practices, she requested that Hermes rename the Birkin until better practices can be implemented for production.
